In 2002, with a production of Snow White (written by Kate and Susannah again, but this time with the added benefit of material by Robbie Hudson), the Mighty Fin moved up a gear with the introduction of a new director (Benet Brandreth), a choreographer (the incomparable Johnnie) and some proper lighting (as well as Tom Hilton, who knew how to operate it), while Arry Fraser mercifully consented to musically direct once again.

The show included our lovely heroine, Snow White, an all-singing all-dancing Magic Mirror, seven non-dwarves (subletting a cottage from the seven dwarves you might have been expecting), Robbie in a dress, and an opera-singing huntsman. We danced in time (mostly), we had henchmen, we had Pippa’s costumes again and we raised another £5,000 for charity. Not a bad couple of months’ work.
